Partnership begins consultation for second catchment management plan
This autumn the partnership hopes to gather your thoughts on what you believe to be important in the catchment.
A consultation has begun with the aim of producing a second catchment management plan, to be delivered from 2019-23. From 2009-17 The River South Esk Catchment Partnership managed activities in the catchment through the implementation of the River South Esk Catchment Management Plan.
Ppriorities and aspirations for the coming five years focus on the environmental, people and economic opportunities and include Riparian woodland expansion, Invasive non-native species control, Climate change adaptation, Natural flood management and Community resilience to name but a few. The priorities identified are linked in many ways and a healthy river catchment underpins them all.
Please share your thoughts on issues in the catchment. The consultation runs form September 1st – December 1st 2018.
