River South Esk Catchment Balsam Bashing

A coordinated day of balsam bashing will be taking place on Saturday 26th July in the River South Esk catchment.

A coordinated day of balsam bashing will be taking place on Saturday 26th July in the River South Esk catchment. The aim of the day is to tackle areas of balsam infestation and raise awareness of this ongoing problem. We will be lending a hand to the local SWT Volunteers tackling the invasive Himalayan Balsam from the banks of the river South Esk at Montrose Basin and Finavon Castle will be tackling the balsam in their grounds. If you can spare some time to tackle some balsam on the day please get in touch and let us know. Our aim is to treat as many different areas of the catchment as possible.
